UltraFire WF502B CREE T6 XM-L Tactical Flashlight Review

We were impressed with the Ultrafire WF502B T6 XM-L flashlight. During our tests, we found this to be a good durable tactical flashlight. Some of the best features was it’s quality construction and bright output. The WF502B has 4 settings illumination settings:

  • Bright
  • Dim
  • Strobe
  • S.O.S.

This flashlight has the typical push button power switch mounted at the back end of the unit. However, some have complained that the button is tough to push or feels cheap. Sometimes you need to push it firmly to lock the flashlight into constant “power on” mode.

Battery life on the UltraFire is decent. We didn’t notice a decrease in light output during continuous and extended use. The longest we used it continuously was 1.5 hours on the high setting and the light output was still very bright. But when it comes to the battery, the only downfall is that it requires a special 3.7 volt battery that can’t be found in just any store you walk into. Also, the batter is not included so be sure to order batteries with it or you’ll be left without a usable flashlight… at least when you first get it.

Required Batteries

We happen to use the rechargeable batteries (UltraFire 18650 3000mAh 3.7V Rechargeable Li-Ion Battery + Charger Combo) and was satisfied with the result. One last thing, the beam is fixed which means no focusing so be aware of that. Here’s a video review of the flashlight which explains the UltraFire WF502B T6 XM-L tactical flashlight in detail.

In summary, for the money, this is a decent flashlight. It’s very powerful, small in size and doesn’t weigh a lot. This flashlight would be ideal for camping and other casual activities. It works great under heavy use but just remember to purchase rechargeable batteries at the time you order.
